SiRi Company Ltd announces that two new Directors have been elected to its Board of Directors.
The new Directors are Bas Rueter, Manager of Dutch Sustainability Research B.V, Netherlands, a SiRi Company shareholder, and Franz Knecht, founder of Connexis Strategy Consultants, Switzerland, a global network of senior finance, manufacturing and engineering industry experts focusing on economic and financial aspects of sustainable development and business activities. From 1991-98 Franz Knecht was Head of Environmental Management Services at UBS (then: Swiss Bank Corporation) and active in key initiatives such as UNEP Finance Initiative, Global Reporting Initiative and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. Following SiRi Co.’s Executive Chairman Philippe, Spicher, Knecht’s professional experience as well as his network will add value to the SiRi strategy and business development.
The new directors have been elected at an extraordinary shareholders meeting held in Amsterdam the 23rd January 2004. The formation of a new Board of Directors follows SiRi Company’s announcement in late 2003, that all assets and activities of SiRi Group were transferred to SiRi Company, registered in Fribourg, Switzerland. This development positioned SiRi Company as the leading independent global provider of SRI research and consulting services for institutional investors and financial professionals.
SiRi Company is owned by the members of the former SiRi Group. These are Avanzi SRI Research (Italy), Centre Info (Switzerland), Dutch Sustainability Research (Netherlands), ECODES (Spain), GES Investment Services (Sweden), KLD Research & Analytics (USA), Michael Jantzi Research and Associates (Canada), Pensions & Investment Research Consultants (United Kingdom), scoris (Germany), Stock at Stake (Belgium) and Sustainable Investment Research Institute (Australia).
